Promethean Board Sound Not Working

If your desk is located close to the Promethean board, your sound will more than likely use the built-in speakers in the Promethean board. 

Here are the steps to troubleshoot:
  • Make sure the board is plugged in
  • Make sure the board is powered on, there is a small lit button on the left side of the board
  • If the button is green and the sound is still not on, check the volume controls above the power button

You will see the sound icon in the bottom right hand corner of your computer screen. 


Steps to troubleshoot
  1. Make sure that the icon is not muted (red line through)
  2. If not we need to make sure that you have the correct output device chosen.
  3. Right Click the icon and select playback devices


      4. You are able to right click and test any device in this window.
      5.  After you hear the test bells, choose that device by right click and choose set as default device.  In the case of Promethean, it should be PnP device.
