Common troubleshooting issues:
Scenario 1: A student finished their test but would like to complete an earlier test that they haven’t finished.
Check the status is “Completed”, select the student, and choose “Test Again” from the “Select Action” menu. The student's status changes to “Awaiting Student”.
Scenario 2: Student logins into Test Session but doesn’t find their name.
Check that the student is included in the roster. If they are not in the roster, add the student by clicking the “Add more students” button, do a search and add them.
If the student is in the roster already, check their status and refer to page 5 of the “Proctor Tips and Troubleshooting”.
Scenario 3: Student reports a question with a missing picture, doesn’t allow them to select an answer, or other technical issue with a MAP question.
Ask the student to try the Reset button on their screen or F5.
If that doesn’t work, Pause and Resume the test.
Scenario 4: A student was testing and is kicked out and it not able to find their name when they log back into the test.
Have the student close the Lockdown Browser and open using the desktop shortcut.
Check their status and refer to page 5 of the “Proctor Tips and Troubleshooting”.
Scenario 5: You notice a student is rushing through their questions and are not engaged.
You may notice this as you walk around the room or if the student has answered 3 or more questions in rapid succession and the “Student(s) Disengaged” alert goes off on the proctor screen.
Help the student get focused and use your best judgement to pause, suspend, or terminate the test.
Pause = short break under 30 minutes
Suspend = come back another day, up to 28 days later
Terminate = erase current test data and start over
