Add an Activity to the Class Calendar

Assignments, Discussions, or Wikiprojects can be added to the Calendar by adding a due date when creating an Assignment through any of the available methods including directly from the Class Calendar. To add an Activity through the Class Calendar, navigate to the Calendar tab and select Add Activity.

Choose which Activity type you would like to add, fill out the Activity title, the Activity due date, and any other details in the Activity popup. Your new Activity will now appear on the Class Calendar. That's it!

Add an Event to the Class Calendar

Events can be created through an Announcement or directly from the Class Calendar. To create an Event through the Class Calendar, navigate to the Calendar and select Add Event.

Enter the details of your Event in the popup and hit Save. Your new Event will appear on the Class Calendar. That's it!

Add a Mini Calendar or Upcoming Activities Block

You can also add an Event or Assignment right from a Mini Calendar or Upcoming Activities Block on a Page. To create a Mini Calendar or Upcoming Activities Block, go to Add Content Block.

Navigate to the Calendar tab, and select either the Mini Calendar or the Upcoming Activities Block.

The Mini Calendar Block gives students a visual calendar, much like the larger Class Calendar, but it can be added to any page.

The Upcoming Activities Block gives a students list of scheduled Events and Activities in the Class and can be added to any page.

From either the Mini Calendar Block or the Upcoming Activities Block, you can add a new Event or Activity by typing the name of the Activity or Event in the Add field, and hitting Enter. From there, you can enter additional details about your Event or Activity, and hit Save.
